A Note on Pattern Writing Style
Crocheters all have their preferences when it comes to pattern instructions! For example, something like:
BLSC x1, FLDC x2, BLSC x1, FLDC x2
could also be written as (BLSC x1, FLDC x2) x2 or even (BLSC x1, FLDC x2) 2 times.
After polling our testers, it became clear that opinions are split—some prefer the grouped style, while many others prefer detailed repetition so they can cross off each stitch as they go. To accommodate the majority and make patterns easier to follow, I’ve chosen to write them in the longer format.
If you prefer grouping, it’s much easier to mentally condense repeated instructions than it is to break them apart while working. This way, the pattern works for everyone! I hope you find it clear and easy to follow. 😊 Happy crocheting!
** Color Options for This Pattern
This pattern is written using the standard two-color overlay mosaic technique. However, for this design, the color rows may be worked in one solid color or using the individual colors shown on the graph and in the written instructions. Both options follow the same stitch placement and construction. Choose the color method you prefer and remain consistent throughout the project.
