Calendar Testing Guidelines

Our patterns for the wall calendars have a little different requirements than the regular patterns for testing. Since these are printed out and shipped to our customers, we have less time to get the patterns tested and photos taken for submission to print.

  • You have a maximum of 4 months to complete a test for the calendar if you request the pattern prior to March 1, 2024.  

  • If you request a calendar pattern after March 1, 2024 it must be done by July 1, 2024.

    • These dates are not flexible

  • You must update weekly.  A picture update is best.  Failing to update weekly will result in you being removed from the test and not being allowed to work on special projects in the future.

  • Do not request to test if you have other projects and cannot fully commit to the requirements.

  • Please do not give away the afghan until we have approved the pictures you have submitted.

Photos

  • Please take all photos in landscape orientation, since that is the orientation of the calendar

  • All ends must be hidden for the photo.

  • Try to take pictures in outside light for the best results.  If this is not possible, take pictures during the brightest part of the day in a room with lots of natural light, or in a room with bright lights.

  • Provide more than one good photo in a variety of settings.  Examples:

    • Flat lay (with all 4 corners showing)

    • On a bed

    • Draped on a couch or chair.

    • Held up (like on a clothesline or by people)

  • Please make sure your background is clean and clutter free so as not to distract from the afghan you are photographing.
