Page 1—This page is an overview page, with all the important information you need to keep track of for your project. This includes information such as the yarn used and amounts, the gauge, and notions needed. There is also room for a shopping list in case you don’t have everything on hand to start your project, and a space for brainstorming.

Page 2—This page provides a large space for you to write or doodle notes about your project as you are working on it. Anything that comes up as you are working on the project you can put on this page.

Page 3—This page consists of a dot grid to guide you in drawing out your design. You can also use it as a space to paste in your design if you prefer to do it on the computer or on a different kind of paper.

Page 4—This page is for you to write down the step by step instructions your customers need to complete the pattern.

Page 5—Once you have completed your project and it is typed up and ready to go, you may want to submit it to different companies for publishing. This page gives you space to keep track of those submissions and the response to each one. There is also a table to help keep track of deadlines for those submissions that have been accepted.

Page 6—This page will help you keep track of testers and tech editors. There is space to write down their names, when the pattern was given to them, when they finished, and any notes and feedback they may have on the pattern.

Page 7—This page is a space for you to paste in any picture you or your testers have taken of the completed project.

Page 8—Advertising on social media is a great way to let potential customers know of your patterns. This final page helps you keep track of what sites and/or written publications you have shared your project on or in and the date(s) that you shared that project. There is also a space to keep track of where you have published your pattern.
