What is a charm bracelet afghan?!
I’m sure many of us can remember back in the day having a favorite charm bracelet….then came the Origami Owl necklaces that were so popular for a while. They allowed us to have little charms for each of our interests to wear.
When trying to think of the perfect afghan for my son, I was trying to decide what theme to do it in. He loved sports, should I do his favorite team? But he had a favorite team for each sport so that wouldn’t work
What about games? He loves to play games but has a lot of favorites - both board games and video games so I couldn’t choose. The same when I tried to think about his TV likes, his music preferences etc.
So then I thought - what about an afghan that had a lot of different topics, all that were of interest to him!
The charm bracelet afghan is just that - a collection of squares, each 25 x 25, done in corner to corner (C2C). You pick which squares you want to do, how many squares you want to do and best of all ~~ it’s completely FREE!!
This crochet along is for everyone - and you can work it anytime. It’s a great project to do in the off months when we’re not running a Crochet Along in The Crochet Couch Facebook Group.
We LOVE to see photos of your work so please feel free to share in our Facebook Groups or our MeWe Group or any social media platform you prefer!
You are welcome to join the squares however you want of course but I’ll be making a video on our YouTube Channel showing how I join mine in an attempt to mimic a “chain” in charm bracelet
